On Saturday, April 27th, A Chance to Meat will bring together a spectacular lineup of chefs and master grillers, led by our Executive Chef, Alfonso de la Dehesa. We’re excited to welcome our Mayakoba neighbors, Cristian Schwuger, chef at Tauro restaurant, and Ramón Reyes from Casa Amate restaurant.
Master Griller Arturo González and chef Carolina Jiménez, from Primitivo in Valle de Guadalupe, will also share their grilling talents with our guests, while Juan Gaffuri, chef at Elena restaurant in Buenos Aires, will bring the passion for the asado from Argentina. We are thrilled to welcome back Manuel Morales, Executive Chef at Banyan Tree Cabo Marqués, as well as Brenda Trejo, Chef Pâtissier at Banyan Tree Mayakoba, who will create sweet moments for our guests.
A Feast for the Senses
On its sixth edition, A Chance to Meat is an authentic carnival of fire and flavors, where the incomparable scent of smoke beckons, and the joy of sharing a meal invites us to explore, taste, and delight the senses. Led by our local and guest chefs and grill masters, each live station will highlight the wonders of premium ingredients, graced by the touch of fire. From cuts like Tomahawk, bone-in short rib, and New York, to pork ribs, chicken, fresh fish, and seafood, we will honor each protein with distinct grilling techniques and preparations.
Welcome to Our Home
El Pueblito, Mayakoba’s picturesque square, will be the setting for this year’s edition of A Chance to Meat. With its colorful constructions and central gazebo, El Pueblito evokes the feeling of a Mexican town square, offering the ideal atmosphere for a festival that celebrates the art of cooking together and sharing a meal.
Live special show:
Nortec: Bostich + Fusible
From Tijuana, Nortec: Bostich + Fussible with their electronic set will fill the night with life with their unique fusion of electronic/nortech music, creating a true sensory celebration.
To complement the feast, guests will find an exciting variety of wine, beer, and craft cocktails, ideal for pairing with grilled delights.
